Research Area

I do research in corpus lexicography. Central to my research, is the development of optimal models for corpora construction for the lexicography of languages with limited written traditions (LWT languages). Such languages face challenges of diglossia, codeswitching, codemixing and borrowing. Part of my research includes producing and testing the model using a Setswana corpus (see one of my proposal papers to the Computational Linguistics of the United Kingdom.). This involves comparing texts of different and using quantitative approaches to calculate corpus components.
