Research interests

Foundations, architectures and applications of computational linguistics and language engineering: particularly lexical description and representation; natural language generation architectures; control issues for wide-coverage generation; statistical and symbolic methodologies; multilingual issues; eScience, Semantic Web and GRID applications.

Current responsibilities

Leader of the Natural Language Technology Group in the School of Computing, Mathematics and Information Sciences (CMIS), University of Brighton.
Researcher and research manager in natural language systems and data representation, natural language generation and lexical representation.
Language technology lead partner in the EC project 3D-COFORM.
PhD supervisor and examiner.
Member of the CMIS Research Strategy Group and Faculty Research Governance and Ethics Committee.
